6th IFCA- INTERNATIONAL CHEFS CONFERENCE -2015 AT CHENNAI

The students of CAI had the golden opportunity to attend the 6th IFCA International Chefs Conference 2015,hosted by IFCA at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. This magnanimous event was aimed to inspire the aspirations of young chefs through the professional chefs who are already renowned in the culinary world and offered the students an exclusive opportunity to connect one on one with top chefs, restaurateurs, food writers, food stylists, marketers, nutritionists and academics from the hospitality.Around 600 delegates from global & national culinary world attended the conference..

 

The 3 days of the event saw a plethora of speakers both nationwide and global who had come down to share their knowledge on different areas of the culinary world through interactive sessions with the students and brainstorming discussions. Renowned culinary personalities like Chef Charles Carroll(President WACS), Chef Cornelia Volino, Chef Rick Stephens spoke about handing over the mantle & inspiring the young chefs. Interactive live demonstrations on the Art of Sushi making by Chef Hirotoshi Ogawa and Lamb Cuts by Chef Tarek Ibrahim were a huge learning for the students attending the event. A lot was to be understood and learnt from Chef Ajith Bangera ,Chef Christopher Koetke, Chef Thomas Gugler, Chef Lars Charas, Chef Uwe Micheal and Chef Fabio Antonini who educated the chefs present at the conference about the current trending world cuisines..
