PGDCA is the result of the collective thought of highly respected, culinary experts with years of academic and professional expertise. FAQ's
1. When will the Entrance Examination be held?
All India Entrance Examination will be conducted in the month of June/July every academic year.However the academy will inform the actual date and time to all candiates well in advance in order to make travel arrangements to reach Hyderabad.
2. How many candidates will be selected?Are there any reservations?
30 Candidates will be selected and all the quotas of reservations as underlined by Government of India/Government of Andhra Pradesh will be strictly adhered to.
3. What is mode of selection?
After applying the candidate will be required to under go a written test,group discussion round and a personal interview.The three stages will be completed on the day of the written Examination itself and candidates will also have to undergo a 3 course contential menu trade test as part of the selection procedure.
4.What is the Dress code for the Entrance Examination/Personal Interview?
Candidate should present themselves in formal dress code and should be well groomed for the personal interview. Eg: For Male Candidates:
A light coloured shirt dark trouser matching tie and black oxford shoes
For Female Candidates:
A formal salwar kameez or saree.
For Trade test please bring your chef coat & kit.
5.What will be the format for the written test?
It will be 100 marks objective type/multiple choice examination covering culinary & food production related Questions.
6.What topics will be included in the group discussion?
Topics for Group Discussion will be given 1 hour in advance and the senior students of the academy will also do a presentation to the candidates attending Group Discussion for the first time.
7.What will be the fee structure for the course?
RS 46,000/- (University prescribed tuition fees)- per annum, however the candidate have to procure uniforms, tool kit, study materials,journals,2 piece suit and also should pay additionally for the working lunch provided for every academic year.
