A ONE OF A KIND WORKSHOP……..

It was a day full of excitement, noise and fun. Brand CAI conducted a workshop for the seventh graders of Oakridge International School on ‘Dining Etiquettes’. Chef Akshay Kulkarni, Head of the Department explained the aspects of proper eating at a fine dining restaurant. They were told about the cultural and historical influences on Indian, Oriental and European cuisines and how the food is designed in various countries to suit individual eating styles. A visual exercise on the usage of chop sticks and various cutlery used was presented. Students were given a tour of the entire academy and each Kitchen gave a special demonstration to make the young kids to understand the profession of the Chef. This was followed by a four course Classical Italian Menu served to the kids in our very own Flavor’s restaurant. Budding Chefs of the PGDCA dished out the food and were also assisting these little kids on table manners and etiquettes. A total of 100 students accompanied by two of their faculty members. It was a very good learning exchange and at the end of the day the kids had only one word to say……YUMMMMMM!!!
