The ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN CULINARY ARTS course is designed to provide complete and comprehensive career path to the students who aim to learn, develop and excel in culinary knowledge and practical culinary skills. They also develop management and leadership skills which are a must to enter the profession at a junior supervisory or trainee management positions across the culinary industry. This program will aid the students who wish to develop their business skills and eventually want to become culinary entrepreneur’s by owning or managing business.

Academic Authority:

ADVANCE DIPLOMA IN CULINARY ARTS is a One Year Full Time program being offered by Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad. The duration of the course is one academic year consisting of two semesters of minimum 16 weeks of instruction per semester.


Eligibility Criteria

1. A candidate for admission to the One Year Advance Diploma Course in Culinary Arts must demonstrate excellent communication Skills in English and must have passed 10+2 and have passion to learn professional cooking and keenness in taking up a career in food Production after completion of the course.

ENROLLMENT / SELECTION / ADMISSION

1. Admission process will generally start in the month of April / May each academic year for which notification will be released on the official website of the academy as well on the internet in educational portals. The college website is updated from time to time and all the details will be made available to the aspiring candidates who wish to apply for the course.

2. Application Form can be availed from the academy’s Administration Office on payment of RS. 1000/-(One Thousand Indian Rupees Only) in cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Paragon Catering & Cruise Services , payable at Hyderabad. Candidates fulfilling the entry criteria and who have applied by filling the application form with photocopies of all relevant certificates will be called for the selection.

2. Twenty Five candidates only will be enrolled in the month of June/July and based on the performance in the overall selection process which includes an All India Entrance Examination which will be held only in HYDERABAD followed by a Personal Interview and a Trade Test. (3 course menu comprising of a starter, soup and main course from any cuisine)

3. If selected, the candidates will have to enrol themselves in the month of July/August by paying full-prescribed fee and submitting all the relevant original certificates.

4. Candidate should submit a physical fitness/medical certificate obtained by a registered medical practitioner in the enclosed format.

FAQ's

All India Entrance Examination will be conducted in the month of June/July every academic year. However the academy will inform the actual date and time to all candidates well in advance in order to make travel arrangements to reach Hyderabad.

The academy is a leading Brand in Culinary Education in India with a legacy of 25 long years.CAi is known for its quality of education imparted to its students .Its globally well recognised and is the approved by leading Cruise Line Companies as its authorised Training Centre in Asia.This course is delivered by BRAND CAI and the certificate will be issued under the seal of Culinary academy of India.

25 Candidates will be selected for each academic year.

After applying and registration for admission process the candidate will be required to under go a written test, and a personal interview round. As part of the Trade Test the candidate has to prepare a three course from any cuisine of the world to demonstrate his/her level of cooking skills .All these three stages in the selection process will be completed on the day of the written Examination itself procedure..

Candidate should present themselves in formal dress code and should be well groomed for the personal interview. Eg: For Male Candidates: Light coloured shirt, Dark trouser, Matching tie and Black Oxford Shoes.For Female Candidates: Formal salwar kameez or saree. For Trade test the academy will provide chef coat and basic tool kit .

It will be 50 marks objective type/multiple choice examination covering general food and food production related topics.

RS 1,70,000/- (One Lakh Seventy Thousand Rupees) for the complete course which includes admission fee, tuition fee, laboratory fee, working charges lunch for one complete year, uniforms, tool kit, , journals & study materials, Field Trips, Culinary workshops and academic extracurricular activities. However the candidate has to pay for the both Semester External Examination fee as and when the examination date is declared.
