INTERNATIONAL CHEFS DAY CELEBERATIONS - 2025

International Chefs Day! at Culinary Academy of India



October 16th, 2025, wasn't just another day for the Culinary Academy of India - it was International Chefs Day! The academy celebrated this special occasion with great enthusiasm and dedication to the culinary arts. The International Chefs day is celebrated on the 20th October each year. However, due to Diwali happening on the same day the academy decided to celeberate it earlier. 

The theme for this year’s Chefs day as announced by the World Association of Chefs Societies is Food Explorers. The theme aims at – 

• Inspire the next generation to explore the joys of cooking

• Educate children on healthy eating and sustainable food practices.

• Encourage young people to learn about fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. 

The International Chefs Day celebrations at the Culinary Academy of India aimed to inspire and educate young individuals about the joys of cooking, healthy eating, and sustainability. The academy's efforts to promote culinary excellence and community service are truly commendable. Students at the academy prepared a gourmet meal for 100 less fortunate children, imparting valuable dining etiquette and inspiring young minds to consider a career in the culinary arts. This event not only showcased the students' culinary skills but also highlighted the importance of giving back to the community.

Shri Raja Sadaram Soma, Former Secretary, Telangaana Assembly and Chief Information Commisioner , Telangaana , Kindly consented to be the chief guest for the occasion. He spoke very high about the college and congratulated everyone on the Chefs Day.

The academy even marked the day by organizing a life-saving blood donation camp, where students and faculty members came together to contribute to this noble cause. This act of kindness truly reflected the spirit of community service and compassion that the culinary world embodies.Mr.Bomi Patell, CEO, BOMPAT Recruiters was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Chef Akshay Kulkarni, Head of the Department, Culinary Academy of India was the first to donate blood and encourage the others to follow. .

The World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) emphasizes the significance of International Chefs Day in promoting culinary innovation, creativity, and professional excellence. The academy's celebration aligns with WACS' mission to nurture future culinary artists and foster a spirit of generosity and community.
