INDIA'S FIRST EVER NATIONAL ONLINE CULINARY COMPETITION - 2018

Brand CAI conducted the first ever National Online Culinary Competition for the final year students of Hotel Management Colleges across India. This is the first time that such a competition is been conducted in the World. The competition witnessed an over whelming response with 350 participants from over 70 colleges. Chef Soundararajan Paliappan, Corporate Chef, Club Mahindra Holidays & General Secretary IFCA , Chef Mougam Pereatumbe, Vice President , African Chefs United and Chef Sanjay Thakur,InflightChef,Etihad Airways, Represented India for Bocused’or Singapore were the judges for the competition.

The award ceremony was held at The Park Hyderabad on Saturday 14th April, 2018 with a glittering show with an august gathering of almost 500 people. Prof.S. Ramchandram , Vice Chancellor of the Osmania University was the Chief Guest for the occasion and Chef Michele Prevedello,Executive Chef , The Park Hyatt was the guest of honour.

The Winners trophy and a Cash Award of INR25,000/- was bagged by Final Year student ANJAN TARAFDER of NIPS SCHOOL OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, KOLKATA.The First Runner Up Trophy and a Cash Award of INR 15,000/- was won by SAHIL BUDHIRAJA Final Year student of INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, CATERING AND NUTRITION, PUSA, NEW DELHI. The Second Runner Up Trophy and a Cash Award of INR 7500/- was won by Final Year Student Mr. SAKINAM MAHESH of SRI SARADA COLLEGE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, HYDERABAD. There were two consolation prizes awarded to M. PRANAY From GLOBAL INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, BARKATHPURA, HYDERABAD & Mr. ROHIT SINGH of THE LALIT SURI HOSPITALITY SCHOOL, FARIDABAD, HARYANA. The winners also got the to and fro Flight Tickets to Hyderabad and one night stay at The Park, Hyderabad. The winning colleges got a Special Momento for developing such great Culinary talent.

The entire event was organized by the students of Brand CAI. It is aptly titled ‘For the Student and By the Students’. A student fund has been created by the college authorities and the entire sum generated by the students over the years was utilized in organizing such a mega event.

Brand CAI is today ranked the number one college in Culinary Arts in India.
