WORKSHOP ON HYDERABADI CUISINE -Conducted by Chef SUDHAKAR N RAO-Director,CAI for the Team of YOUTHNIC,Australia on 24th November 2015 at CAI

Rajini Vasan, Chief Executive - Eye Play Sport, Member - BNI Business Leaders Adelaide Chapter, Member - South Australia India Advisory Council brought in 12 businesses from Australia on a social enterprise tour. This is a charity fundraiser for Youthinc, a foundation for disadvantaged youth of Australia. The objective of the tour was to give these 12 businesses who have raised funds for Youthinc along with 4 disadvantaged youth and 4 crew and 2 staff ( total 22 pax) on a "money can’t buy experience" of India. The purpose is 2 fold: 1. Connect SA businesses to Indian businesses and social enterprises 2. Provide cross cultural and social exposure to our disadvantaged youth, so they can put their own problems into perspective and gain self-esteem and confidence through being able to assist others less privileged than themselves. Culinary Academy of India, Brand CAI as we are known volunteered for team Youthnic on their money can’t buy experience concept. Team CAI put up a culinary workshop on the making of the world famous Hyderabadi Kacchi gosht ki Biryani , Mirchi ka salan and Double ka Meetha. Chef Sudhakar Rao, Director/Principal himself took the initiative to demonstrate and explain the concept of this slow cooking method. Apart from the workshop the team was taken on a field trip to witness the training operations at India’s topmost culinary institute and the one featuring amongst the top ten culinary schools of the world – Brand CAI. A 5course classical Hyderabadi meal followed making the Australians overwhelmed with joy. And in the words of Spero Chapley, founder and Chairman of YOUTHINC – “We have been overwhelmed with your visionary results this far and believe the academy creates an enormous contribution to both your country and your people. We have been truly inspired.”
